ضمن اطار التعاون الدولي الذي يقوم به مركز التنمية الصناعية بالجبيل مع بعض المؤسسات الدولية التي تهتم بتطوير وتنمية مشاريع الاعمال الريادية. قام فريق من قطاع الكليات والمعاهد بالجبيل ممثل بسعادة مدير عام قطاع الكليات والمعاهد وسعادة مدير معهد الجبيل التقني خلال شهر شعبان الماضي بزيارة مؤسسة UNIDO (منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية) في دولة البحرين من اجل بحث سبل التعاون المشترك بين UNIDO ومركز التنمية الصناعية.
وقد أتت نتائج هذه الزيارة بالاتفاق على توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بين الطرفين تقضي بتقديم التعاون والتدريب والاستشارات لمركز التنمية الصناعية في المستقبل القريب
In accordance with IDC efforts to boost international cooperation, a delegates from colleges sector represented in director general for colleges & institutes in Jubail along with director of JTI, visited UNIDO office at Bahrain on August 9/2010 in order to seek the future mutual cooperation. Both parties agreed to sign MOU to provide training and consultancy services to IDC.

Jubail Industrial city is one of the world’s leading industrial cities. Located on the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia about 100km north of Dammam, it is a major center for petrochemical production. As a consequence it has a large number of engineers and technicians who work in industry sector. The Entire region is governed by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
The Royal Commission recognised that this industrial base and the highly skilled technical staff in the region provided the basis to create new knowledge based industries from the entrepreneurs in the region. As a result they have moved to support the development of the Industrial Development Center, IDC. This is being developed within the precinct of the Jubail Technical Institute. The IDC will support local entrepreneurs to develop their business concepts, and provide commercial and technical support in the development of new knowledge based enterprises.
